In 1929 the Union Construction Company was renamed The Union & Finance Construction Company, they built shells for the London Underground carriages.
Following this, the company went on to manufacture 100 Feltham Trams, which went into service around London in 1931. When the tram service was removed in London, many of the “Feltham’s” were relocated to tram networks in Leeds and Sunderland.
