Watercolour, Calligraphy/Journaling for Wellbeing

The Hub, Second Floor Next to Feltham Library, The Centre, Feltham TW13 4GU

Access Information - The Hub is fully accessible

Join us for a 6-week Art Journaling Workshop with Sai, an experienced teaching artist, avid art journaler and calligrapher.

An art journal serves as an ideal canvas for exploration and experimentation, offering a liberating space free from the expectation of creating masterpieces. Every week, we delve into a new medium, theme, and technique. Throughout this journey, you'll build confidence in your drawing and painting abilities, cultivating a rewarding and enriching creative practice. The workshop is designed to foster a revitalized, mindful approach to art creation as you immerse yourself in the process of learning and crafting.

Before enrolling in the workshop, kindly take note that due to the nature of this workshop full attendance for all sessions is beneficial. If, for any reason, you are unable to attend a session, please promptly notify us via email (info@felthamarts.org) or call us on 020 8844 1802. Failure to do so may lead to your place being offered to the next individual on the waiting list. Our priority is to accommodate participants who are not already benefiting from our regular weekly creative classes, and they will be given priority in securing a spot.

Ashford Baroque Ensemble
Jul

4:30 PM16:30

Ashford Baroque Ensemble

Our next concert is on Sunday afternoon, 23rd July, 4.30-5.30, at St Matthew's, Ashford.

The programme is:

Albinoni - Sonata a Cinque in G, Op.2, No.1

WF Bach - Sinfonia in F, F.67

Cambini - Trio for Flute, Oboe and Bassoon in G minor, Op.45, No.2

Mozart - Eine Kleine Nachtmusik

In this concert we play the enchanting Sonata in G for 5 instrumental parts by Albinoni, followed by the extraordinary Sinfonia by JS Bach's 2nd eldest son, Wilhelm Friedemann. This Sinfonia is known as the 'Dissonance', but actually it is the abrupt rhythms which are the most striking, since our ears have become accustomed to plenty of dissonance since the Baroque period!

After this we move ahead to the early Classical period with a delightful woodwind Trio by Cambini, and then we finish with the ever-popular Eine Kleine Nachtmusik by Mozart.

How heavy industry shaped West London

Gunnersbury Park Museum needs your help. We are looking to uncover stories about your experience of working life at 3 major buildings: Firestone, Trico and AEC.

We are keen to speak to people from local Afro-Caribbean and South Asian groups and individuals who worked in these buildings during the 1970’s-1990’s and look at the impact that factory closures had.

If you would like to tell your story we will be at Feltham Library on Monday 6th February 12-2pm.

Please bring any objects, images or documents you may have of just come and have a chat with us to find out more about the project.
