Beat the Street Hounslow is coming soon!

The game will run from 18 September 2019 - 30 October 2019

Everyone is invited to play the walking and cycling challenge! Tapping two Beat Boxes within an hour records your journey. How far can you go?

Each week will be a different theme:

1. Go Play – Game Launch 10-12 am Wed 18th September - Osterley Park Health Walks.   – https://www.oneyouhounslow.org/move-more/free-health-walks/
2. Go Travel - double points during commuter window

3. Go Explore - arts, culture & heritage week - Treasure Hunt Trail across multiple venues.

4. Go Wild - Parks and Green / Blue Spaces (eg Hounslow Heath walking trails, schools resources) - double points on Parks boxes

5. Go Active - Leisure providers & events inc Parks, Health Walks (inc Dementia Walks)

6. Go Celebrate - special events & celebration

Best of Hounslow 2019

Following on from the success of last year’s ‘Best Of’ event, the Mayor of Hounslow is again supporting the Borough-wide Talent Show. To celebrate seven years of inspirational achievements we thought it would be fitting to bring you the very best of Hounslow’s talent for 2019. This not-to-be-missed sell out event brings you the O’Connor Irish Dancers, contemporary dancer Remy, Bollywood dancer Lopa and much more…. Do not miss this incredible show bringing breathtaking talent, from artistes of all ages, to the big stage. We bring you two special guest acts for 2019. One are a fusion of dancers from various teams at the award winning Alliance Dance Unit led by Torron-Lee Dewar BCAa. The other, a group of young people from Rivers Academy who have produced a bespoke and interactive performance with world champion beatboxer Bass6 and other members from the internationally famous Beatbox Collective.

Theatre parking is £4.00 (Providing you arrive after 6.30pm). The best place to park is on level 3B of the car park. You will need to walk to the Treaty Centre entrance on the top level and go down the escalator to the floor below and walk around to the Theatre entrance. Please call the theatre in advance of the show if you require disabled access.

Clapper Box is a curious, interactive puppet event featuring 6 small-scale theatre booths, a lot of random objects and wonderfully written quirky adaptations of classic movies. The public is both puppeteers and audience, sitting on either side of each mini-stage. They wear headphones through which they either receive directions or hear the story. This is a highly imaginative show, ‘playing’ with household objects whilst creating a new perspective on interactive theatre and storytelling.
